Can Chia Seeds Improve Your Endurance?

Chia seeds have long been used by individuals who wish to excel in their chosen physical activity or sport. The Chia seeds endurance record spans right back to Aztec times, when warriors would eat the seeds as a pre-battle snack. Today, the seeds are most commonly used by athletes who are aware that the properties in the seeds provide the body with the right nutrients and fuel ideal for prolonged physical exertion. As well as being a rich source of Omega essential fatty acid, Chia food products also provide calcium and protein, which are ideal for strengthening muscle tissue. Health specialist Paul Bragg recently conducted his own Chia foods endurance test, which involved two different groups of people completing a hike. One group ate Chia seeds before the hike began, and the other group did not. The people who ate the seeds finished an amazing four hours and 30 minutes before the other group and some of those did not manage to complete the whole hike at all. It is therefore no surprise that Dr. Bragg does believe Chia seeds do improve a person's endurance, as well as offering numerous other benefits. Chia foods are also popular among students who are studying for important exams, not only do the seeds help improve brain power, the seeds are full of stamina-boosting nutrients.
Chia foods endurance properties are not the only reason people have started to include them in their regular diet. The seeds are also said to help people who are trying to lose weight too. This is because the seeds contain carbohydrates, so they make a person feel full without them really eating too much. The seeds also help cleanse the digestive system, making a person feel more active and less stodgy. Chia seeds are also affectionately known as "Indian Running Beans" because of their proven ability to not only improve a runner's endurance, but also their stamina too.
Harvard University ran a battery of Chia endurance tests, as well as testing other types of vitamins and minerals. These tests proved that Chia products were even more beneficial to an active person than pomegranate seeds, which was the latest "superfood" at the time. Various Chia food products-running and activity tests seem to back the suggestion that these little seeds are of great benefit to athletes, runners and other active people looking to naturally improve their endurance and stamina during activities.
