I would love to tell you that there is some magic exercise that will burn off the fat from the exact area around your belly that is currently frustrating you. But the fact of the matter is that there is no way to naturally remove fat from an isolated area of the body. The good news though…with a little bit of effort its not all that difficult to make some simple changes that will begin burning fat from your body, including the belly.
What to do first.
First thing to do is eliminate true “junk” food from your way of eating. The easiest way to spot junk in the store is to look for high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil in the ingredient list of your foods. If its in there, dont eat it. And, if food comes through your window (at a drive through) then its probably junk too, so you want to keep that to an absolute minimum.
Focus the majority of your foods around fruits, vegetables and lean proteins.
Next, get moving
Add some full body activity to your daily routine. This can be as simple as taking a walk, swimming, or an organized exercise program. The important thing is to find something that will get you moving that you enjoy and that you can be consistent with over time.
